This is a great book for getting to grips with the key issues facing fashion businesses in the USA.
It's user friendly and includes various case studies and in depth looks at important US cases.
The book is in its second edition for a good reason. It balances an overview of the basic fashion law principles with enough practical guidance for its target audience - designers, fashion executives and attorneys.
Like all fashion law books it has a strong focus on intellectual property rights and associated issues. It also looks at the importance of contract law as well as issues such as leases, shipping and Customs. Although there is a chapter on international fashion law issues, the primary focus is on US businesses.
Overall, this gives an excellent introduction to the many legal issues facing businesses in the USA.
